
Porto Heli, also known as Portocheli, is a coastal town in the Argolis region. It is located in the southern part of the region, 85 km from Nafplio, built in a natural harbor next to the ruins of the ancient city of the Aleyes. It is also referred to as the “Greek Riviera” and resembles an island. Porto Heli belongs to the municipality of Ermionida, with a population of 2,272 permanent residents according to the 2021 census. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Argolis and has a well-developed tourism infrastructure. It is particularly attractive to owners of marine vessels, as its harbor is well-equipped and has a large capacity. The area is surrounded by beautiful beaches such as: (Porto Heli AKS Hinitsa Bay, Golden Coast, Costa, Ververonta, Korakia, and the Little Harbors). The area is one of the most cosmopolitan resort centers of the region, along with Nafplio, which attracts shipowners, business tycoons, and members of royal families. From the port of Porto Heli, boats depart for the nearby islands of the Argosaronic Gulf and the opposite shores of Kynouria.
