
Areopoli
Areopolis is a settlement in the Regional Unit of Laconia, in the Peloponnese Region. According to the 2021 Census, it has 927 permanent residents. It serves as the seat of the Areopoli Community and the Municipal Unit of Oitylo, as well as the historical seat of the Municipality of Eastern Mani. Until 1912, it was known as Areopolis (Tsimova).
From Areopolis, you will be enchanted by the stunning view to the west of the Messinian Gulf.
The center of Areopolis has been declared a preserved settlement and will impress you with its architecture and the uniqueness of the Maniot landscape.
